Transformation of a 1970s office building into a showroom (OfficeDC)

The office building of an old industrial complex is transformed into a large showroom of office furniture, on three levels, for a total of 2000 mq. Basic theme was the enhancement of the prospectus on the public highway, already marked by the presence of a fine bas-relief in majolica of the artist in Pesaro A. Lani, dating back to 1973, a memory, or if you prefer a "find" of an age intimately linked to the art.
The steel painted white plays a fundamental role in the intervention, strongly marks the facade and it exasperates the horizontality. The ground floor open completely thanks to the large transparent surfaces, the scale bridges the difference in height and suspended gang covered by wooden planks, allows full use of the space created, a filter between interior and exterior. The thin cover canopy closes so this "stolen" volume by directing the viewer's gaze only to the windows.
